Suzanne Strisik


     Suzanne joined Cornerstone Clinic in the summer of 2016 and brings a psychodynamic, systems orientation to her work. She specializes in the treatment of depression and anxiety, including traumatic stress. With a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta and an undergraduate degree in linguistics of Alaska Native Languages, Suzanne is culturally sensitive to intergenerational grief, ethnicity, disability, age, gender, social and economic class, religion, and sexual orientation.


     Suzanne has worked in independent practice as a psychotherapist for 15 years. She was an Associate Professor of Psychology at UAA for 10 years where she taught clinical psychology, family therapy, community-based interventions, and psychotherapy and directed the UAA Psychological Services Center.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association and is Chair of the Ethics Committee for the Alaska Psychological Association. She works happily and in gratitude with individuals and couples.
